There are millions of factors out of my control determining what my life will amount to.

My choices are insignificant.

The world feels chaotic.

Faced with so much we cannot understand or control, it is natural to doubt the importance of our decisions in the grand scheme of things.

But what if it is true that your choices do matter?

Would you live differently?

Your ability to change your destiny directly depends on where you place your faith.
So Peter went over the side of the boat and walked on the water toward Jesus.
But when he saw the strong wind and the waves, he was terrified and began to sink. “Save me, Lord!” he shouted.
Jesus immediately reached out and grabbed him. “You have so little faith,” Jesus said. “Why did you doubt me?”
Matthew 14:29-31

Waiting for rescue

In this passage of Scripture, it was Peter's choice to trust in Jesus that led him to walk on water.

Even when his fear caused him to waver, Jesus pulled Peter to safety because he loved him.

Like Peter, you will encounter storms in your life.

There will be challenges that make you feel like you are drowning.

On your own, you could only accept your fate and let the waves take you under.

But if you choose to reach out to God, he will be faithful to save you.

We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them.
1 John 4:16

You have a choice

There is a lot in life you cannot control, but that is okay. God is in control. And you can choose to trust in him.

When you choose to follow Jesus, God will change your destiny.

God loves you, regardless of your faults, and he is waiting to welcome you into his family.
