    Even though it’s a fact that everyone dies, and it could be said that it’s natural so you should just accept it…

    being torn away from this life and those that you love will never feel right.

    If everyone is going to die, why does death seem so unfair?

    The answer is found in the Word of God, the Bible...
    We were created not for death, but for eternity.
    Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.
    Ecclesiastes 3:11

    The other side

    Death wasn’t a part of God’s perfect plan. In the beginning man and woman failed to trust God and follow his way which leads to life. Following their own wisdom, they disobeyed him. This brought separation between them and their Creator. It plunged humanity and the world into a state of brokenness.
    But in his love, God has made a way for us to live forever with him.
    Death has been defeated by Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

    For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
    John 3:16

    Hope beyond this life

    Death feels wrong and unnatural because it is not how things are meant to be. But there is hope beyond this life, because Jesus is the way to eternal life. If we know and believe in him, we no longer need to fear death, because closing our eyes on this world means opening our eyes to eternity with our Creator.

    If you are afraid of death, pray this prayer.
    Dear God,
    I am so afraid of death and my fate after death. You are the Creator of life and provide a way to be with you in eternity. Thank you for healing the separation between you and me through Jesus Christ, who defeated sin and death. Save me and lead me into your presence. Let my fears of death be replaced with trust in you and the power of Jesus to save. Thank you for your love and forgiveness.
